Our Blended Family & Journey into Ministry

Our story is a testament to God’s power to redeem, restore, and unite. As a blended family, we have experienced both the challenges and the profound beauty that comes with merging lives, hearts, and dreams. Together, we are parents to seven amazing children, each bringing their unique personalities, gifts, and perspectives to our family. We see our home as a reflection of God’s grace—a place of love, growth, and purpose.

When we entered into marriage, we knew that building a blended family would require intention, patience, and faith. We leaned heavily on God’s wisdom and grace, and through prayer, open communication, and a shared commitment to unity, we’ve built a strong foundation rooted in love and mutual respect. Our marriage is anchored in Christ, and we strive to lead our family by example, modeling forgiveness, humility, and faithfulness.

 

Our Call to Ministry

Our journey into ministry was not something we planned but something God orchestrated. Each of us had our own unique path that ultimately led us to answer His call.

For Jamicia, the call to ministry came at the age of 16. Growing up in a Muslim household, she courageously embraced Christ and began a life dedicated to serving Him. Over the years, her passion for teaching, mentoring, and leading others grew into a full-fledged ministry focused on building strong disciples and empowering believers to fulfill their purpose.

​

Charlie’s journey into ministry began with his passion for business and leadership, which God transformed into a platform for marketplace ministry. With a degree in Business and a heart for people, Charlie uses his entrepreneurial expertise to inspire others to integrate their faith into every area of life.

​

Together, our paths converged in a way only God could design. Our shared love for Christ and our desire to serve His people became the cornerstone of our union. As we navigated the challenges of blending our family, God began to stir within us a greater purpose: to lead others into deeper relationships with Him while addressing the needs of the whole person—spirit, soul, and body.

Building Sacred Space Ministries

From this vision, Sacred Space Ministries was born. We wanted to create a church that was not just a place of worship but a family, a safe space for healing, growth, and transformation. Our mission is to equip believers, strengthen families, and foster unity within the Body of Christ.

Our blended family has played a vital role in shaping our ministry. The lessons we’ve learned about communication, forgiveness, and unconditional love have become the foundation of how we lead and serve others. We believe that our family is both our first ministry and a living testimony of God’s ability to unite and restore.

Through Sacred Space Ministries, we hope to inspire other families to embrace God’s plan for their lives, no matter their journey. Whether blended or not, every family has the potential to reflect God’s love, grace, and glory.

As we continue this journey, we are humbled by the lives we’ve been able to touch and the ways God continues to use us. Our marriage and ministry are built on one unwavering truth: when God is at the center, all things are possible.
